Hello,
I had to write this note to commend you on the staff at BOEC this summer. I was with a group of blind adults with Mind’s Eye Travel from September 19-25. I was there two years ago and thought it was wonderful.
Well, this time I can’t find words to express the experience this time. The activities were well-planned and fun, but the staff made the week something completely unforgettable. They acted as personal guides for us individually as well as for the group as a whole. I have never felt so special. I was treated as if I was someone valued. No matter the need or request there was always a staff member waiting to help. I came away with the feeling that I really mattered and was respected an cared for in a special way.
This staff was truly the most wonderful group of young people to be found anywhere. They genuinely loved their work and treated us like royalty. Words just can’t express what a remarkable and unforgettable group of young men and women we were privileged to spend time with. Please give them special commendations for giving us a week I will always consider the best I have ever experienced.

My wife and I just returned from a one week Canada and New England cruise on the Caribbean Princess arranged by Sue at Mind's Eye Travel. This was definitely one of the nicest vacations we've ever taken. To say that the entire cruise experience was wonderful would be an understatement. Sue saw to it that every detail was taken care of. We started on the trip with confidence that it would go well but it went even better than we expected.
Sue arranged for an overnight hotel stay in New York prior to boarding the ship. During the one day in New York she also arranged for a private tour of the Air and Sea museum and dinner at a wonderful restaurant. She arranged for vans to take the group from the hotel to the dock and then assistance for our group to board the ship. We had a personalized safety drill and private tour of the ship. Sue arranged for our group to sit together for dinner each night (but of course you were free to make other arrangements if you wished. Sue even arranged for the cruise line to provide Braille menus for us.
The ship was relatively easy to get around and learn where the various public rooms were. When it comes to excursions normally either Sue or Diana (the sighted guide who came with the group) escorted us. They did not limit us as to what excursions we could do. In one case (when we stopped in Bar Harbor) a volunteer who works for the ship escorted us on the land excursion. She did a fantastic job. Whenever my wife and I would walk around the ship as soon as we entered a public room a member of the ship staff would immediately come up to us and offer assistance.
Overall the entire experience was fantastic and I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to have an enjoyable vacation.

We had such a great time on the trip to Maine. You did a lovely job planning our accommodations and all of the tours. We could tell how much time you spent organizing this special trip. The lobster boat was probably our favorite. The things one can learn about lobstering were way more than we could have imagined.
We are sold on Mind’s Eye Travel. Keep up the great work and we plan to attend more in the future. Bringing others with us will be our goal.

We rate accommodations on comfort, cleanliness and courteousness of staff. Hotel staff were also knowledgeable about the various needs of persons with visual impairments. All of these were A+.
The tour wasn’t over organized and yet it had variety; it was educational and fun. The tours themselves were varied and offered a thumbnail sketch of Maine. We enjoyed the opportunity of meeting interesting people.
We can truthfully say we are going to sign up for another tour.

I wanted to write to tell you what a wonderful time my husband, Bob, and I had on the trip you planned in Camden Maine.
I came home feeling very relaxed which I believe a vacation ought to make you feel.
Bob and I learned a lot while there besides enjoying ourselves with you and the couples who were vacationing with us. You scheduled activities very well in my opinion.
There was plenty to do and keep busy while setting a pace which left time for relaxation, shopping or whatever we chose to do on our own.
I’m very glad we found you and your travel business and plan on using your service again in the future.
