Trip Location:

This trip includes one sighted guide for each traveler.

5 nights accommodations, 5 breakfasts, 3 lunches & 2 dinners.

All activities as described below.

We will stay in the heart of Jackson Hole within walking distance to the shops and cafes. On  one of the days, we’ll stroll to the antler arch on the town square for a group photo. One of the shops has amazing taxidermy such as a big bear and wolves and locally handcrafted antler art.  The last time we were there, we got to feel a moose.

Grand Teton National Park  - 1 Day

Our coach will pick us up at our hotel for a full day of spectacular Grand Teton experiences and extraordinary wildlife. We’ll stop at The Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center. There is a large tactile map of the park that allows us to feel the mountains, forests and lakes. They also have a sound chamber that takes us through all four seasons. Our day may include wildlife encounters such as bison, elk, eagles, coyotes, beaver and the elusive bear and wolf to name a few. A tasty lunch or picnic will be added. We’ll enjoy a short walks meandering along the Snake River, and Jackson Lake alternating native American & mountain man tales.

Next, we’ll take a cruise on Jenny Lake. The Tetons are all around it to give us a mountain experience.

Yellowstone National Park – 2 Days, 1 Night

This fun tour day will focus on the west side of the Lower Loop road, exploring and experiencing Geysers, Mud pots, Hot springs and Fumaroles. Lunch will either be picnic-style or at a park restaurant. We will witness the might of the Yellowstone Caldera, watch Old Faithful Geyser erupt, marvel at the intense colored Extremophiles and much more. This day can include longer walks through geyser basins and other locations.

Our accommodations tonight are at the most sought after Old Faithful Inn. A huge log-and-stone building dating from 1903. Old Faithful is right out our front door. The boardwalk walkways take us through the mud pot area to smell and feel the steamy heat coming from the mud pots.

The focus of this second day is the exploring wildlife habitat on the eastern side of Yellowstone park, Yellowstone lake and river, Sylvan Pass and Mount Washburn. We can enjoy stunning hikes along the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone – Upper (308 ft) and Lower (97 ft) waterfalls & spot wildlife in the Hayden Valley. Our guides will describe each animal and teach us about the osprey, ravens, elk, antelope, bears, wolves and buffalo that roam freely in this awesome national park. During the fall rut, the mating season, which is September, elk bulls “bugle” and challenge each other to breed with the females. All it takes to hear them is to step out of our vehicles. We’ll have longer or shorter walks depending on desire and ability. Late afternoon we circle “the wagon” back over the Continental Divide returning to Jackson Hole and our hotel.

One evening, our dinner will be at the Bar T Chuck Wagon.  From early in the 1800’s cowboys rode the western range. On the cattle drive, every long, hard day in the saddle was followed by an evening meal, tall tales and music around the fire. The Bar T Chuckwagon serves a rib stickin’ meal and authentic cowboy entertainment including songs, stories, comedy, yodeling, fiddling and more! Experience an evening you'll never forget.

There will be some time to explore optional activities, additional fees apply. Choices may include a hot air balloon ride or horseback riding.
